Standard Warranty

Lavita Outdoor's Standard Warranty is subject to the product being cared for in accordance with the relevant care and maintenance guides. Materials and components that form part of your product are warranted against failure due to material and manufacturing faults, as outlined in the table below.

How to Lodge A Claim

Our Customer Support Team are able to assist with any issues you may experience with your purchase. To lodge a claim, please notify Lavita Outdoor of the defect within 7 days of the defect occurring by either telephone (02) 9114 6680 or by email to [email protected].

The following details will be required when lodging a claim for assessment:

  • Your order number
  • A list of the product/s or component/s affected
  • A description of the defect that has occurred
  • Photographs showing the location of the defect on the product/s or component/s, as well as a close up photo showing the issue in detail

At times, further information may be required to accurately assess a claim. In order to expedite this process, please respond promptly to all requests made by our Customer Support Team.

Lavita Outdoor reserves the right to determine whether a part has failed due to a defect or wear and tear and whether a product or component should be repaired or replaced. Any repair or replacement under this warranty is limited to the defective part/s only.

Warranty Exclusions

Lavita Outdoor's Standard Warranty does not apply to products sold as seconds, floorstock or clearance, repaired products, or products with a defect which has been drawn to the customer’s attention before purchase. Additionally, the following warranty exclusions will apply if the product or component:

  • has not been directly purchased through Lavita Outdoor
  • is no longer located in Australia
  • has been modified or repaired without prior authorisation
  • has had tags or serial numbers removed
  • has been mishandled or used inappropriately, or in a manner which may be deemed abnormal to its prescribed use
  • has not been properly cared for and maintained
  • has become defective or damaged due to pets
  • has become defective or damaged due to spills including acid, solvent, dyes and other corrosive materials
  • has become defective or damaged as a result of fading, burns, bleaching, stains or UV damage by way of sunlight, chemicals, other materials or other natural phenomena (unless stated otherwise)
  • has become defective or damaged due to misuse, commercial use, improper handling or in a manner which is greater than, or exceptional to normal domestic use

Defects which arise as the result of normal wear and tear will not be covered. Any defect which has already been explained or described at the point of purchase will not be covered. Characteristics and properties of natural materials including leather, fabric, timber, stainless steel and aluminium among others are not considered to be defects, and form part of this exclusion.

This warranty is not transferable. It is limited to the original purchaser specified in the original sales order at the original delivery address.

To benefit under this warranty, the purchaser must formalise a claim with Lavita Outdoor in writing, clearly describing the issue within 7 days of the defect occurring.

Australian Consumer Rights

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Axroma® Outdoor Fabric

How to clean Axroma® outdoor fabric
  1. Remove all throws and accessories before cleaning
  2. Remove any loose dirt and particles with a dry cloth or soft vacuum attachment
  3. Apply an outdoor fabric cleaning solution such as Guardsman Weather Defence Fabric Protector and use as directed
  4. Alternatively, prepare a mild cleaning solution consisting of approximately 2 teaspoons of ph-neutral soap with 1 litre of water
  5. Spray the solution on all Axroma® fabric surfaces and clean with a microfibre cloth or soft-bristled brush, moving in one direction only
  6. Rinse off thoroughly with a clean, wet cloth to remove any excess detergent and allow to dry naturally
  7. Repeat the cleaning process every 2-3 months, depending on the furniture’s level of use
How to clean mold & mildew from Axroma® outdoor fabric
  1. Prepare a solution of 1 cup of bleach and one fourth cup mild soap per 4 litres of water
  2. Spray on entire area and allow to soak into the fabric for 15 minutes
  3. Clean entire surface area with a sponge, clean towel or very soft bristle brush
  4. Rinse thoroughly to remove all soap residue
  5. Allow to air dry completely before use
Before applying any cleaning agent, including recommended agents, test in a small out of the way area
Wipe down surfaces regularly to prevent buildup of excess dirt, dust, salt or chlorine, which may lead to damage
Blot liquid spills and stains immediately with a clean
wipe down surfaces from seam-to-seam using only a light pressure
Clean the entire surface area of the upholstery to avoid water rings and stains
keep cushions out of heavy rain
clean spills immediately using the correct cleaning method and remove excess moisture
Prop wet cushions on their sides to allow easy and efficient drainage
Always allow outdoor furniture to air-dry completely before use
Where applicable, fluff and rotate cushions regularly to maintain shape and increase longevity
Prolonged outdoor use in extreme weather conditions is not recommended
Cover furniture when not in use to prevent damage from inclement weather, leaf mulch, sap and wildlife
Consider furniture placement and avoid areas that are likely to cause excessive build up of corrosive materials
Don’t rub to clean

Powder Coated Aluminium

How to clean powder coated aluminium
  1. Remove all objects and items before cleaning
  2. Wipe away any light dust and particles with a dry microfiber cloth
  3. Wipe off any sticky marks or stubborn spots with a damp wet cloth or soft-bristled brush
  4. Prepare a mild cleaning solution consisting of approximately 2 tablespoons of ph-neutral soap with 1 litre of water
  5. Apply to a clean microfibre cloth and wipe down all surfaces
  6. Rinse off thoroughly with clean water to remove any excess detergent
  7. Use a soft, clean cloth to wipe down all surfaces and allow to dry naturally
  8. Repeat the cleaning process every 3-6 months, depending on the furniture’s level of use
How to remove hard-water stains
  1. Prepare a solution of equal parts white vinegar and distilled water
  2. Spray the solution directly on to the stain and allow to sit for 10-15 minutes
  3. Rinse thoroughly with a clean, wet cloth to ensuring all residue has been removed
  4. If the scaling has only been slightly lifted, repeat steps 2 and 3 to allow the stain more time to soak
  5. If successful, allow to air dry completely before use, otherwise proceed to the next step
  6. Prepare a paste consisting of 3 parts baking soda, 1 part distilled water and a few drops of white vinegar
  7. Apply the paste to a clean sponge and gently scrub the stain
  8. Apply more paste directly on to the stain and allow to sit for 15 minutes
  9. Rinse thoroughly with a clean, wet cloth to ensuring all residue has been removed
  10. Re-apply the paste for a second time if required
Before applying any cleaning agent, including recommended agents, test in a small out of the way area
Wipe down surfaces regularly to prevent buildup of excess dirt, dust, salt or chlorine, which may lead to spotting and staining
Cover furniture when not in use to prevent damage from inclement weather, leaf mulch, sap and wildlife
Consider furniture placement and avoid areas that are likely to cause excessive build up of corrosive materials
When using white spirits, cleaning should be carried out in shade and during cooler temperatures using a soft cloth and gentle wiping only
It is recommended that prior to cleaning, a small non-visible area of the powder coated article be tested to ensure that no visual color change or damage will occur
Wipe down surfaces regularly to prevent buildup of excess dirt, dust, salt or chlorine, which may lead to spotting and staining
Don’t hose down your furniture during periods of extreme heat
Prolonged outdoor use in extreme weather conditions is not recommended
Do not under any circumstances use strong solvents such as thinners or solutions containing chlorinated hydrocarbons, esters or ketones
Abrasive cleaners or cutting compounds should not be used
Interpon Powder Coatings recommends nothing stronger than white spirits to assist with stubborn stains such as hard water spots / calcium stains

Tempered Glass

Why Tempered Glass? Tempered Glass is Highly durable, Easy to clean, Safety glass, Low maintenance

This product may possess physical and technical attributes that form part of the natural characteristics of this material. Such features may include, but are not limited to: Colour variation, Blemishes, Abrasion resistance, Waves and bubbles

  1. Remove all objects and items before cleaning
  2. Wipe away any light dust and particles with a dry microfiber cloth from both sides of the glass
  3. Wipe off any sticky marks or stubborn spots with a damp wet cloth or soft-bristled brush
  4. Prepare a mild cleaning solution consisting of approximately 2 teaspoons of ph-neutral soap with 1 litre of water and spray onto the entire glass surface
  5. Wipe down thoroughly with a clean, dry microfiber cloth or newspaper - moving in one direction only
  6. Repeat the previous step with an additional clean, dry microfiber cloth until all excess liquid has been wiped dry
  7. Repeat the cleaning process every 1-2 months, depending on the furniture’s level of use
Before applying any cleaning agent, including recommended agents, test in a small out of the way area
Tempered glass has been hardened to resist breakage In the event of breakage, caution should always be exercised
Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight
Use table cloth or other shade options to protect from direct sun for prolonged time
In the event of breakage, tempered glass will shatter into small cubes rather than large jagged sheets to minimise the risk of injury
Use coasters, placemats and heat mats as appropriate to increase longevity
Always use a chopping board when cutting food items as a knife can cause damage to the surface
Keep glass dry on sunny days to minimise temperature variation in surface
Cover furniture when not in use to prevent damage from inclement weather, leaf mulch, sap and wildlife
Consider furniture placement and avoid areas that are likely to cause excessive build up of corrosive materials
Wipe down regularly to avoid excessive build up of corrosive materials
Avoid placing right next to glass fences and/or large bodies of water due to possible magnified sunlight
By no means should it be considered unbreakable or scratch-proof
Don’t hose down furniture during periods of extreme heat
Sudden temperature changes may cause stress on a material which can weaken it long-term
Don’t place or drop hard or heavy items on to the surface; this may stress the glass, even when dropped from a short distance
Don’t use your tabletop as a food preparation surface
Don’t apply glass cleaner to painted or frosted glass; this can cause peeling or discolouration
Don’t allow pools of water to sit on the glass in sunlight; this creates a lens effect which may cause “hot spots”
Prolonged outdoor exposure in extreme weather conditions is not recommended
Avoid placing furniture in environments that may cause UV damage when magnified by surfaces such as glass (including glass balustrades, glass panels)
