Outdoor Fabric
Why Outdoor Fabric? Outdoor Fabric is Water resistant, Easy to clean, Machine washable

- Remove all throws and accessories before cleaning
- Remove any loose dirt and particles with a dry cloth or soft vacuum attachment
- Apply an outdoor fabric cleaning solution such as Guardsman Weather Defence Fabric Protector and use as directed
- Alternatively, prepare a mild cleaning solution consisting of approximately 2 teaspoons of ph-neutral soap with 1 litre of water
- Spray the solution on all fabric surfaces and allow to soak for 5 minutes
- Clean with a soft-bristled brush, moving in one direction only
- Rinse off thoroughly with a clean, wet cloth to remove any excess detergent and allow to dry naturally
- For machine washable cushion covers: remove covers carefully (see ADDITIONAL TIPS below) and place in a cold-water, gentle cycle with regular washing detergent
- Once machine-washed, allow the cushion covers to dry naturally before attempting to put the covers back on
- Repeat the cleaning process every 2-3 months, depending on the furniture’s level of use

To remove fabric covers, unzip the cover fully, fold the cushion in half to allow the opening some slack and gently pull out | |

A quick solution of jammed zipper is WD-40 sprayed onto a cotton bud, simply apply to the teeth of the zipper, paying special attention to the zipper tab | |
Turn covers inside out to protect the zippers while cleaning | |
When putting the covers back on (once dry), leave them unzipped, take a seat and allow the foam some time to work it’s way back into the cover before zipping up | |

How to clean powder coated aluminium
- Remove all objects and items before cleaning
- Wipe away any light dust and particles with a dry microfiber cloth
- Wipe off any sticky marks or stubborn spots with a damp wet cloth or soft-bristled brush
- Prepare a mild cleaning solution consisting of approximately 2 tablespoons of ph-neutral soap with 1 litre of water
- Apply to a clean microfibre cloth and wipe down all surfaces
- Rinse off thoroughly with clean water to remove any excess detergent
- Use a soft, clean cloth to wipe down all surfaces and allow to dry naturally
- Repeat the cleaning process every 3-6 months, depending on the furniture’s level of use
How to remove hard-water stains
- Prepare a solution of equal parts white vinegar and distilled water
- Spray the solution directly on to the stain and allow to sit for 10-15 minutes
- Rinse thoroughly with a clean, wet cloth to ensuring all residue has been removed
- If the scaling has only been slightly lifted, repeat steps 2 and 3 to allow the stain more time to soak
- If successful, allow to air dry completely before use, otherwise proceed to the next step
- Prepare a paste consisting of 3 parts baking soda, 1 part distilled water and a few drops of white vinegar
- Apply the paste to a clean sponge and gently scrub the stain
- Apply more paste directly on to the stain and allow to sit for 15 minutes
- Rinse thoroughly with a clean, wet cloth to ensuring all residue has been removed
- Re-apply the paste for a second time if required

How to clean frosted glass
- Remove all objects and items before cleaning
- Wipe away any light dust and particles with a dry microfiber cloth from both sides of the glass
- Wipe off any sticky marks or stubborn spots with a damp wet cloth or soft-bristled brush
- Use an ammonia-based product and spray onto the entire glass surface
- Wipe down thoroughly with a clean, dry microfiber cloth or newspaper - moving in one direction only
- Repeat the previous step with an additional clean, dry microfiber cloth until all excess liquid has been wiped dry
- Repeat the cleaning process every 1-2 months, depending on the furniture’s level of use
How to clean oil based stains from frosted glass
- Mix 1 tablespoon of detergent such as Fairy Liquid Detergent and 1 tablespoon of baking soda with 2 cups of boiling water
- Apply to the stained area and allow to sit for a few minutes
- Wipe down in one direction only with a clean microfibre cloth
- Remove excess water and white streaks with a paper towel, dampened with a little lemon juice, in one direction only

Please note, Teak Stains on Cushion - Due to teak's water-resistant nature and abundance of natural oils and silicates, its weathering process involves the surfacing of oil. This natural teak oil has the potential to stain outdoor cushions placed atop teak furniture. It's important to note that oil surfacing is an inherent, recurring process that cannot be avoided., If left uncovered, untreated teak will slowly fade and begin to acquire a beautiful silvery-grey patina typical of untreated teak
- Remove all objects and items before cleaning
- Wipe away any light dust and particles with a dry microfiber cloth
- Apply a hardwood cleaner such as Goldencare or Guardsman Teak & Hardwood Cleaner and use as directed
- Alternatively, prepare a mild cleaning solution consisting of approximately 2 teaspoons of ph-neutral soap with 1 litre of water and spray onto the surface, paying special attention to sticky marks or stubborn spots
- Wipe down thoroughly with a clean, dry microfiber cloth or soft-bristled brush
- Wipe down the teak furniture periodically with a clean, dry cloth to remove excess oil residue and prevent it from accumulating.
- Ensure adequate ventilation around the teak furniture to promote airflow and allow any released oils to dissipate more quickly.
- Apply a hardwood polish or wax with a quality oil such as Guardsman Teak & Hardwood Protector
- Repeat the previous step with an additional clean, dry microfiber cloth until all excess liquid has been wiped dry
- Repeat the cleaning process every 1-2 months, depending on the furniture’s level of use
- Stains caused by teak oil on fabric can be remedied with either soap and water or a specialized eucalyptus-based cleaner.

Lavita Outdoor's Standard Warranty is subject to the product being cared for in accordance with the relevant care and maintenance guides. Materials and components that form part of your product are warranted against failure due to material and manufacturing faults, as outlined in the table below.

How to Lodge A Claim
Our Customer Support Team are able to assist with any issues you may experience with your purchase. To lodge a claim, please notify Lavita Outdoor of the defect within 7 days of the defect occurring by email to [email protected].
The following details will be required when lodging a claim for assessment:
- Your order number
- A list of the product/s or component/s affected
- A description of the defect that has occurred
- Photographs showing the location of the defect on the product/s or component/s, as well as a close up photo showing the issue in detail
At times, further information may be required to accurately assess a claim. In order to expedite this process, please respond promptly to all requests made by our Customer Support Team.
Lavita Outdoor reserves the right to determine whether a part has failed due to a defect or wear and tear and whether a product or component should be repaired or replaced. Any repair or replacement under this warranty is limited to the defective part/s only.
Warranty Exclusions
Lavita Outdoor's Standard Warranty does not apply to products sold as seconds, floorstock or clearance, repaired products, or products with a defect which has been drawn to the customer’s attention before purchase. Additionally, the following warranty exclusions will apply if the product or component:
- has not been directly purchased through Lavita Outdoor
- is no longer located in Australia
- has been modified or repaired without prior authorisation
- has had tags or serial numbers removed
- has been mishandled or used inappropriately, or in a manner which may be deemed abnormal to its prescribed use
- has not been properly cared for and maintained
- has become defective or damaged due to pets
- has become defective or damaged due to spills including acid, solvent, dyes and other corrosive materials
- has become defective or damaged as a result of fading, burns, bleaching, stains or UV damage by way of sunlight, chemicals, other materials or other natural phenomena (unless stated otherwise)
- has become defective or damaged due to misuse, commercial use, improper handling or in a manner which is greater than, or exceptional to normal domestic use
Defects which arise as the result of normal wear and tear will not be covered. Any defect which has already been explained or described at the point of purchase will not be covered. Characteristics and properties of natural materials including leather, fabric, timber, stainless steel and aluminium among others are not considered to be defects, and form part of this exclusion.
This warranty is not transferable. It is limited to the original purchaser specified in the original sales order at the original delivery address.
To benefit under this warranty, the purchaser must formalise a claim with Lavita Outdoor in writing, clearly describing the issue within 7 days of the defect occurring.
Australian Consumer Rights
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
